3 Techniques to Overcome OCD

Dealing with OCD can be tough. Sometimes, it feels like you’re stuck in this mental loop that just won’t let you break free. But guess what? That force is your subconscious mind.

Your subconscious is in charge of your intrusive thoughts, habits, and even your beliefs. To finally be free from OCD, you need to get your subconscious on the same page as your conscious thoughts. Believe it or not, you have the power to take control and steer yourself towards liberation.

To help you along, I’ve got three techniques that will help you reprogram your subconscious mind. Let’s dive in!

Tip 1: Positive Affirmations

By repeating positive statements about yourself every day, you’re gradually reprogramming your subconscious mind. Make sure to give yourself a mini pep talk that really resonates with your journey to beat OCD. Saying things like “I’m in control of my thoughts” or “I’m free from OCD” can help you replace those negative thoughts and beliefs with positive ones. These won’t work overnight and need to be done regularly everyday (like regularly going to the gym to build muscles) -persistance is key!

Tip 2: Positive Visualisations

Take a few moments each day to really picture yourself without OCD. What kind of activities would you be doing? What emotions would you be feeling? By creating a clear mental image of your life without OCD, you’re planting the seeds for a positive change. Visualisation is a powerful tool that can actually help reshape your thought patterns, cultivate resilience and empower you to live an OCD-free life.

Tip 3: Seek a Hypnotherapist

If you’re having trouble breaking free from OCD on your own, consider seeing a hypnotherapist who specialises in OCD. Hypnosis is a direct tool that allows you to make quick and easy changes to your subconscious. With the help of a specialized hypnotherapist, you can make progress with breaking free from OCD.

Remember, it’s ok to be unsure or nervous about seeking out something new, especially when it impacts your mental health. But hypnosis is not as scary as TV shows make it seem! In fact, it’s straightforward and easy. Plus, hypnotherapists will always put your comfort first and offer a safe and supportive environment.

If you want to hear more about my personal hypnosis services reach out to me to find out more.
