In the realm of dietary aspirations, battling cravings for certain foods can often feel like an uphill struggle. The allure of foods that conflict with our chosen diet plans can be incredibly strong, leading us to falter in our resolve and making it challenging to stay on track. However, there is a potent ally that may hold the key to conquering these cravings and reclaiming control over our dietary choices – hypnosis.
Hypnosis, often surrounded by an aura of mystery and intrigue, is a therapeutic technique that involves guiding individuals into a heightened state of focus and suggestibility through which positive changes can be made.
While commonly associated with entertainment or stage shows, hypnotherapy, when conducted by a trained professional, can be a powerful tool for overcoming cravings that sabotage our dietary goals. Ready to hear more about this amazing tool for overcoming unwanted cravings? Let’s go!
Unwanted Cravings
Picture this scenario: you’re on a no-carb diet, diligently avoiding starchy temptations, yet the mere thought of crispy, golden chips sends your taste buds into a frenzy. Or perhaps you’re grappling with food intolerances, steering clear of dairy foods, while your mind wanders longingly to creamy, indulgent ice cream.
Maybe you’ve committed to a sugar-free lifestyle, but the siren call of rich, velvety chocolate refuses to be ignored. What do you do? The more you tell yourself you can’t have these forbidden foods, the more you want them. In these moments of severe temptation, hypnosis emerges as a supportive force, helping you to easily bid farewell to the foods that sit on your blacklist.
How Can Hypnosis Help Beat Unwanted Cravings?
All of our deepest desires, fears, cravings, and motivations reside in our subconscious mind and we gain access to it through a method called hypnosis, which is a focused state of attention. By then tapping into the subconscious mind, we can help rewire the neural pathways associated with cravings and address the underlying reasons behind our yearning for certain foods.
Through a tailored hypnosis session, a skilled hypnotherapist can help remove cravings for a food they wish to avoid eating. It normally takes a few minutes to remove all desire and cravings for certain foods so changes happen quickly.
In my hypnotherapy practice, I have helped many people overcome unwanted food cravings, one of my latest clients had an addiction to sour cream Pringles which ultimately went against his weight loss goals, this addiction was deleted after one session. Thankfully he now refrains from buying the Pringles and can’t even bear the sight of them!
You may wonder how I know the cravings have gone. Usually, I test a client at the beginning of the hypnosis session and get them to rate their desire for a certain forbidden food on a scale of 0-10. During the hypnosis part of the session, I then communicated to the subconscious mind that this certain food is unhealthy and makes it hard for the person to stick to their preferred diet.
Once the subconscious mind sees the logic in deleting cravings for this type of food, the desire for it then naturally goes, without having to use willpower to fight the craving! I will only finish the session when the craving for the food in question is a 0.
Last Words…
In conclusion, hypnosis is a transformative tool that holds immense potential in supporting individuals on their journey to delete unwanted food cravings and thus help achieve their dietary goals. By harnessing the power of the subconscious mind, hypnosis can facilitate lasting change, empowering individuals to make healthier empowered food choices that align with their health and well-being goals, without the pain and struggle that goes with fighting unwanted food cravings.
